DAY 1: HANOI – HA GIANG – TAM SON (DINNER)Be ready at 6 AM to depart. take a 6 hour bus to Ha Giang City. During our Limousine Minivan ride, we will stop for a lunch break and our tour guide will fully brief you about the experience.
We’ll arrive in Ha Giang and assign you a motorbike. Our first ride starts at about 1.30 PM, you will get real close to being in the traffic in Ha Giang on our first ride, passing through the edge of the city and entering the northern mountains while the sun sets. The road begins with a long, snaking ascent up to Heaven’s Gate Pass (one of several so-named mountain passes in Vietnam). The views back down over the meandering road are terrific. After crossing a treeless plateau, Heaven’s Gate Pass drops down into Quan Ba District and the town of Tam Son, nestled in a valley between dozens of limestone ‘molehills’.
As the sun sets, we’ll arrive to our homestay, enjoy a traditional meal, chill out and have a shot of rice wine with our host family which belongs to one of many ethnic minorities in the area.
DAY 2: TAM SON - YEN MINH - LUNG CU - DONG VAN (BREAKFAST, LUNCH & DINNER)
Wake up and have a tasty breakfast in homestay
Our first stop of the day will be Lung Cam Village, a breath taking village where several scenes from a famous Vietnamese film, Story of Pao, were filmed. The film itself is an empowering tale of a minority woman and her struggles, a great introspective look into the local culture.
After this stop we will continue on until we arrive at the King’s Palace, to learn more about the culture and history of the Dong Van region.
We will then proceed to a stunning viewpoint where we can take in the beautiful mountainous landscape and scenery of the area.
After taking in some incredible scenery and sights we will continue towards Lung Cu, where you can go to the top of the famous Flag Tower to see some truly magnificent views of the Vietnamese-Chinese border. Guests can walk along the fence on the way to the town of Dong Van.
We will then proceed to the guest house or homestay in Dong Van.
We will then have a wonderful dinner, exploring exotic local delicacies in the Old Quarters of Dong Van.
Day 3: LUNG CU - MEO VAC - DU GIA - HA GIANG ((BREAKFAST, LUNCH & DINNER)
Optional early morning activity:
5:30 am: Wake up before sunrise in order to trek to a view point which was built by the French Army to protect the area from the Chinese. The incredible sunrise you will witness from the viewpoint will stay in your memories forever. If you are interested in this option you will need to sign up with a guide the night before.
Those of you who are not interested in this option can spend a few more hours staying in bed until breakfast time.
Once everyone has returned from the sunrise trek we will all get up for an early start to the day and an early visit to the local market, where we will be able to sample traditional breakfast foods.
After breakfast, we will proceed towards Ma Pi Leng Pass, to arguably the most beautiful viewpoint in all of Vietnam, a perfect picture view that features rolling mountains for as far as the eye can see.
Thereafter, we will visit the Meo Vac, Ta Lung and Mau Due Villages.
A quick stop at Lung Tam Village where a group of Hmong people live to see how the traditional clothing is made.
Return to Mama’s homestay in the town of Ha Giang.

Day 4 : HA GIANG - HOANG SU PHI ((BREAKFAST, LUNCH )
After breakfast, beautiful motor ride on the track to Hoang Su Phi on many small; back roads with scenic mountain views. It is, as of this writing, well hidden and completely surrounded by wild mountains and forests. There’s a single road from HA GIANG to Hoang Su Phi.
Day 5 : HOANG SU PHI - BAC HA ((BREAKFAST, LUNCH )
Day 6 : BAC HA - SUNDAY MARKET- SAPA- TAVAN ((BREAKFAST, DINNER )
Day 7 : SAPA TREKKING ((BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER )
Day 8 : SAPA TREKKING - HANOI BY BUS , 22H00 ARRIVAL HANOI - TRIP ENDS ((BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER )
